Awards and Honors
The Value Engineering Awards Program is an acknowledgement of exemplary achievements. Award winners from each military component are selected from one of the following five categories: program/project, individual, team, organization, and contractor. Additionally, joint service and special awards are given to recognize innovative applications or approaches that expand the traditional scope of value engineering use.

‘Certificate of Excellent Performance’ for Outstanding Achievement through Value Engineering by the Office of the Secretary of Defense in 2010.
Kansas City, MO., Mayor Sly James presented a coin to John L. Robinson, PE, CVS-Life, FSAVE in November, 2012 as a token of appreciation for SVS’ outstanding work on the Blue River Channel Modification Project.
Kyle Schafersman was honored by SAVE International as the 2008 recipient of the Rising Star Award “for enthusiasm and embracing of the Value Methodology and demonstration of VM accomplishments within the past five years.”
