The Lynnhaven River is the largest tidal estuary in Virginia Beach.  “For decades, the Lynnhaven River has been impaired to a point in which oysters and other fish caught in the estuary could not be consumed… through the efforts of the City of Virginia Beach, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers … the river has rebounded. This project will continue to enhance the health of the river for all people who utilize it.”  Lynnhaven River

Strategic Value Solutions, Inc. (SVS) conducted a five-day Value Study workshop to validate the design, schedule, and cost of the Lynnhaven River Basin Ecosystem Restoration project on behalf of the US Army Corps of Engineers, Norfolk District.

The purpose of the workshop was to identify and develop alternative concepts to improve the overall value of the project.  The suggested alternatives to the original design provided the opportunity to review best value procurement practices, identify project risks, while developing alternatives and design suggestions to ensure the success of the Lynnhaven River Basin Ecosystem Restoration efforts
